NC criminal records are still established even when sentence is suspended. These types of NC criminal records are usually not included in the state criminal history registry; hence, they are also not included in the FBI database.
Community Service A person may perform a service in order to benefit his or her community. Often, this type of service is done in connection with projects by various youth organizations, such as the Boy Scouts. In some cases, however, community service may also be used as an alternative sentencing technique in the justice system. NC criminal records are still established even when the court sentence does not involve incarceration for a certain period of time.
